Your first lesson, tile by tile.
Never played? Perfect. We'll start with the tiles and the NMJL card, build a hand together, then play with Laurie at the table to help when the game gets interesting. Two hours, no lecture. Bring a friend and you'll have a built-in practice partner when you leave. Coming solo? Laurie will make you feel comfortable - and you'll leave with next steps and support that doesn't stop when the lesson ends.
Do I need to know the rules?
Nope. Boot Camp 101 starts at the very beginning.
What should I bring?
Just yourself. Tiles, mats, racks and cards are ready at the table.
Where do we play?
Venues rotate around Austin. The date and location are listed with each class before you book.
What comes after 101?
Boot Camp 102, then guided play, then open play. There's a seat for you after the first one.
