Mahj 102
In this class we will have a quick recap of Mahjong 101, then focus on gameplay mechanics and strategies to enhance your skills and confidence. We will cover etiquette, blind passes, defensive play, strategy, adaptable setups and hands on practice.
Guided Play
Guided Open Play: Ready for regular play? Join others who've completed Boot Camp. Instructor on hand to guide you as you build independent play and make confident decisions. All materials provided.
Late Summer Series
Every Wed in August at Central Market, North Lamar location. We will be upstairs above the cafe.
League style scoring. Overall highest scorer of the series will receive a curated gift! You won’t want to miss the fun and friendly competition.
August 5/ 12 / 19 & 26th from 10am-12pm upstairs in the cafe. Series price Drop in play available $40/ session.
Mahj Lessons at Austin Beerworks
Join us for mahj lessons at Austin Beer Works. All levels welcome — whether you're learning for the first time or refining your strategy. Indoor community table, all materials provided. Some mornings you remember forever. This is one of them. Before the sun comes up, we hike to a secret, iconic Austin overlook — revealed a few days before — and play American mahjong as the city wakes up beneath us. Light breakfast + refreshments to start, the prettiest light of the day, and your favorite people around the table. Not a lesson — an experience built around connection, limited to just 8 players on purpose (but I'm on hand for any questions). Come for a birthday, a girls' morning, a milestone, or simply the best reason to gather. Wear comfy activewear + closed-toe sneakers, and leave with the place you'll always remember playing mahj.
